Summer Classes at the Classical Music Institute of San Antonio Texas

This summer the Musical Mentorship Initiative continued its work and taught online masterclasses and private lessons for the students at the Classical Music Institute (CMI) of San Antonio Texas.

Zongheng Zhang (bottom right), a recent graduate of the Bard Conservatory of Music and a member of The Orchestra Now (TON) for the next three years, is a member of the Musical Mentorship Initiative and has taught violin and viola lessons to students from the CMI.

Grace Molinaro (bottom) is a student at the Conservatory of Music and a member of the Musical Mentorship Initiative. This summer she taught cello lessons to multiple students from the CMI.

The positive feedback from the students has inspired us all to continue the work that we are doing. We hope that we will be able to visit these students in person in the near future and continue the collaboration with the Classical Music Institute of San Antonio Texas.

The Musical Mentorship Initiative is going to continue offering help to all institutions that seek it, regardless of their proximity to Bard College. Our next collaboration is with Universidad Autonoma of Bucaramanga in Colombia in late July.
